Haifa Musallam is Co-Founder and Principal Architect of Avantgarde Architects & Engineers. Haifa’s design and concept generation give her a strong command of the design process and design delivery. She combines the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, master planning and art.
She leads a creative team of architects and designers and highly motivates and encourages them to establish parameters for success. Over 13 years of design research, Haifa has established a sustainable approach to architecture. Her designs influence all aspects of the built environment and bring together arts, environmental awareness, science, and technology.
By combining design with technical knowledge, she creates the physical environment in which people live, which influences their quality of life. She seeks inspiration from heritage and culture, combining modern and traditional architecture to produce a blend between splendid modern and vernacular architecture.
Her work informs the overall aesthetics of a city by pushing design and style boundaries. Haifa has combined several academic disciplines and specializations to tackle projects in countries including Georgia, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, & UAE. Her work on The Traditional Souq and the Jeddah Falcon both won Arabian Property Awards. The Pedestrian Bridge was shortlisted in the Gulf Traffic Awards 2018.
