The project is located in Al Mamzar, Dubai along Cairo Street up to Sheikh Rashid Road. It is the continuation of Infinity Bridge from Deira and over Corniche Street. It was awarded on 21st April 2019 with a project value of AED706m.
The client, Road and Transport Authority Dubai, chose the segmental bridge construction method to complete the 1.8km-long, 54m wide bridges of 12 lanes to avoid any disturbance to road traffic or Dubai Port Wharf facilities. To use this approach, the precast segmental bridge construction came into the picture.
The pioneering project employs innovative top-notch engineering solutions for procurement and construction methodologies such as advanced Geometry Control Systems, Bar Code systems for segment management, etc. which has set an iconic landmark for the Middle East. Preset targets and objectives were achieved significantly beyond expectations. The project was completed on time and in budget.
