Alpin Limited developed a Building Energy Performance Digital Twin to support Investment Cooperation Dubai Brookfield Place (ICDBP), a LEED Platinum-certified business skyscraper. The tower is committed to maintaining a high level of building operational performance in terms of energy efficiency and studying potential strategies for carbon footprint reduction, including potentially the net zero approach. The digital twin is a software-generated model replica of the built asset that can simulate the operation of different MEP systems and provide the expected performance and energy consumption of the energy end-uses within the building. It reflects the As-Built status and documentation of the asset and is dynamically calibrated during the operation stage to mimic live building operations. The digital twin for this project was developed using dynamic thermal modelling software IES Virtual Environment and IES iSCAN.
