We believe the Doğuş Construction data-driven management approach is of key importance for achieving our objectives. For this reason, we increasingly apply innovative technology solutions to get a real-time data flow in our projects.
One of these technologies is the Internet of Things (IoT). This technological infrastructure, which we have applied for the construction of the Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe-Sultanbeyli Underground Metro Line project, enables us to automatically collect, interpret and integrate the employee, construction equipment and subcontractor data via sensors. In this way, we have an instant visualisation of employee and work machines on the layout plan. It is possible to detect the occupational health and safety related situations of climbing, falling, jamming and being stuck.
With Doğuş Construction IoT Portal, the location of all employees (including subcontractors), machines and even visitors can be tracked instantly. The collected data can be reported historically and be accessible at all times. With the reports, all movements can be quickly monitored. This system enables us to record the machinery activity, including its operation and downtime. This is the first time an IoT technology has been used in a underground metro project in Turkey.
