China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) was awarded the Marina Vista project from Emaar Development in 2019. The project is located along Emaar Beach Front, close to Jumeirah Beach. It overlooks the Palm Jumeirah and has a construction area of around 120,000 square meters. The project consists of two residential buildings, which are the 38-storey Tower 1 and 48-storey Tower 2.
These comprise 623 total residential units: 339 1-bedroom units, 200 2-bedroom units, 73 3-bedroom units, 4 4-bedroom units and 7 villas. CSCEC ME as the main contractor is coordinating, documenting and issuing submissions for the construction of this project, using BIM in accordance with the latest industry best practices and the requirements of Dubai Municipality.
The BIM team as a minimum covers the multidisciplinary integration and coordination of all aspects of the architecture, interiors, façade, structure, MEP services, other contractor’s construction documentation, and all other systems across the project. The BIM system is required to be current and updated at all times, complete, coordinated, comprehensive and in full conformance with the contract drawings, specifications and schedules, the contractor’s and all subcontractor’s construction documentation.
