Investigating future extreme construction scenarios and the transformative role of AI

A World Economic Forum Working Group looked at future scenarios for construction. Here, Aref Boualwan, Group Manager – Digital Transformation, CCC and Strategy Officer, World Economic Forum, outlines those scenarios.

In considering what construction will look like in 2050, the World Economic Forum working group came up with three extreme scenarios. Boualwan said that most likely, future construction will be a combination of those three scenarios – building a virtual world and use of robotics, prefabrication and modular, and taking a sustainable approach.
