One of the most exciting elements of Tahboub’s presentation was the case study on Marcasa, a 1.1 billion AED development in Dubai. This project served as a pilot for integrating AI-powered construction management software. Tahboub showcased several impressive outcomes, including a 57% reduction in the turnaround time for engineering submittals, faster and more accurate reporting, and the ability to preemptively resolve issues through sentiment analysis. The software also featured AI-trained risk agents capable of identifying, analyzing, and ranking risks while proposing mitigation measures.
Tahboub concluded her presentation by expressing optimism about the future of AI in the construction industry, while also acknowledging the challenges, such as ensuring data quality and addressing spatial awareness limitations. Deyaar Development’s success with Marcasa serves as a powerful example of how AI can reshape the construction landscape, driving efficiency and enabling more intelligent, proactive management.
