Technology use in construction in 2020 was shaped by Covid-19. That could not have been predicted 12 months ago. But on reflection, that a global health crisis resulted in a leap forwards for construction technology and industry digitalisation is not such a surprise.
During our Construction Technology Festival (CTF) events, we have had many speakers discuss and debate what conditions were needed to drive forward the digitalisation of construction. In the end, construction joined many other industry sectors in taking the very same small steps – meetings became virtual and teams became experts in online distance collaboration.
