ASGC has developed a centralised control room in its headquarters that integrates various technologies, and pulls data from its construction sites into the smart command room.
“The importance of having the smart room in the head office is to build a bridge between the site office, the head offices, and the construction site itself,” said Tamer Elgohari, Digitisation Manager, ASGC Construction.
It provides a secure environment in the headquarters that can control, monitor and command all locations, including construction, labour and storage sites. The connection enables the company to make quick responses when direction action is required. The company can also efficiently analyse data and produce reports.
Site offices are also being transformed, so they have the technologies in place from mobilisation that can control the project and provide more in-depth date. These can help reduce the carbon footprint of a build, and the connected systems can send data back to the central command room.
