Autodesk Workshop

In-person Event | 15th February 2023, 8:30am (United Arab Emirates)

Join manufacturing professionals in an exclusive roundtable discussion on how technology can revolutionise manufacturing industry in the United Arab Emirates.

This closed-door discussion will focus on how to accelerate and expand opportunities for economic growth and supply chain resilience in the manufacturing sector. Countries are prioritising technology for localisation and at present, high-tech manufacturing is concentrated in a handful of countries, none in the Middle East.

3 categories of manufactured tech products, with a combined Middle East market size of approximately $125bn, are well suited to Middle East localisation opportunities:

  • Advanced materials – ie nanomaterials, smart materials and bioplastics;
  • Advanced components – ie electronic semiconductor components and battery components;
  • Advanced finished products – ie general-purpose robots, space systems, IoT (Internet of Things) devices and 3D printers.

Brought to you by Autodesk, we will explore how to integrate smart manufacturing technologies to optimise your design-to-manufacturing process to create highly differentiated, cost-effective and competitive products.

The discussion is designed to better understand how you can leverage these 6 smart technologies to get to market faster with minimal risk:

  • Manufacturing-led design enables the manufacturing process to influence design decisions early
  • 3D printing is turning traditional manufacturing economics upside down and has moved beyond prototyping
  • CNC machining and probing transforms production capabilities by reducing time, minimising re-work and producing precision parts
  • Hybrid manufacturing combines metal additive manufacturing with conventional subtractive technology on the same machine to produce parts quickly with less waste
  • Simulation can predict, validate and optimize your products using accurate analysis
  • Robot automation – use industrial robots to automate large scale 3D printing and subtractive processes

It will be under the Chatham House Rule (so not made public), with a small, select group of manufacturing industry individuals, and designed to better understand your needs, opportunities and challenges.
