Prefabrication is an environmentally sustainable process. Prefabricated architecture practices lead to a remarkable reduction in materials and resources consumption, this is due to increased upfront planning and reducing the materials waste during the construction process in addition to extending the materials lifecycle by using durable, reused, or recycled materials. Prefabrication of buildings reduces construction waste by up to 52% which will in turn result in significantly improved energy, cost and time efficiency of construction. Rework is minimal in prefabrication and the finished product contains less material than a traditionally built building.
